Sheff utd

We are more than likely not going to win the league this season, but coming second is now our priority, tonight away game is a must win, after the poor performance in front of goal against Palace we can't do the same tonight, we have to start to play like we can and put teams away like we have in the past, the reason we are not challenging for the title is our lack of defending our goal, and the fact that we have not scored the goals we should have with the chances we have made, so a win tonight is what is needed just to put space between us and the teams behind, not our season this season but we can still play the football we know we can, and we start tonight and for the rest of the season to show all the other teams we are the best teams in the league.

Something as changed far to much this season with City, at HT in the Sheff utd v City game we have committed 8 fouls that is unlike City, and it's not the first time this season City have committed a lot of fouls in games, we were not this poor with our game play in other years, is it because we are not as good this season or just that the opposition are better then we expected them to be, our overall play is not as crisp has it as been and that could be why we are getting so many booked.

The Penalty should have been retaken as the keeper was at best a yard off his line, but it was against City so why have it retaken, but we have thank God Aguero and he got the goal that we might have had, if the pen had been retaken because the keeper was not on his line, that would mean the officials are doing their jobs, and they would be doing it right and helping City in the game, bloody hell helping us blimey that must be a first this season.

Agree, the penalty should have been retaken as Henderson was off his line, but VAR fails yet again.
Having said that, the Jesus penalty was shite :wc:

I didn't even realise they were on TV last night, and that was probably a blessing, as that was not great.

Sheff Utd are a dirty side, a physical side and a shit side, regardless of them being 7th this season, they are not a good team, and should have had a man sent off yesterday early on for his lunge on Laporte, it is obvious we have missed him, he is class and did something in 2 minutes yesterday that Fernandinho, Stones, Otamendi and even Rodri when tried there in his absence have failed to do, and that is have the faintest clue how to organise a defence, he does it, knows what he is doing and a clean sheet arrives on his return, they have been as freequent as rocking horse shit in his absence, in my opinion if he had been fit all season, this title race would still be alive and kicking, Liverpool would still be ahead of us, but only by 5-6 points at the most and not already done and dusted as it is now, with them 19 points clear of us, and potential to win the title before we play them or even by beating us at the Etihad early April.

Aguero should never have been on a bench when you have players like Sterling and Rodri who are struggling right now with this system amongst players who could have been dropped for Sergio to be in the starting XI and still have all the others there that were selected, and I wish Pep would pick his best XI for a run of 11-12 games and see if we can put any sort of run together to get some momentum going for the Cup games and see what a run of wins can do to VAR, as they might drop a few points the nearer the end of the season it gets if we were starting to roar back.........and that involves Cancelo and Mendy in the full back slots and Garcia alongside Aymeric for me in the backline.

A good win, a scrappy win, but not a great performance again by anybody other than Mahrez and Aguero in attack and Laporte at the back.

So good to have Laport back. We need another two defenders like him.
